Staying on Top of the Feed with My Research Assistant App
I have been using Endnote since I got my first iMac in 1999. As a graduate student, I saw the importance of keeping track of references. Recently, I began exploring the Web of Science My Research Assistant (MyRA) App on my iPad. I’m really enjoying it.
I can create research topic feeds that can be browsed in a similar way to the Researcher App. What I particularly appreciate is that it integrates with my Endnote library. When I bookmark an article of interest in the MyRA app, it automatically appears in my Endnote library on all my devices. Furthermore, I like the integrated Web of Science interface as it connects directly to my library databases. If my library does not have the source, I can quickly make a document delivery request. Before, I had to receive emails with tables of contents of the latest journal releases. Now, MyRA allows me to follow all the journals of interest in a single feed. This has been working well for checking new releases to see if I have to update my Endnote library.
Overall, I’m thrilled that I have such an advanced system to manage my references and research topics. With Web of Science My Research Assistant, I feel like my research process is faster and more organized.
