Remains of our hominin ancestors and their tools are found throughout the African and Eurasian continents. Researchers have found these Pliocene-to-Pleistocene-age sites along the eroding slopes of ancient rift valleys and in caves. You can visit the landscapes and see the remnants of our ancient ancestors at 11 World Heritage sites.
